As part of our commitment to a balanced education, Duiske College provides a great selection of extracurricular activities, which affords our students the opportunity to develop their individual talents and to contribute to school life. Students are expected to involve themselves as fully as possible in the life of the school.

Extra Curricular Activities fall mainly into two categories:

– Sporting Activities

– Cultural Activities

Sporting Activities: Our extensive sports programme is carried out throughout the year. All students are timetabled for Physical Education classes. In addition, coaching sessions are organised for hurling, football, camogie, ladies football and also boys and girls soccer. Athletics is available boys and girls and our school participates in the schools cross-country championships.

In addition to interschool competitions we also organise internal school leagues in hurling, camogie, basketball, soccer and tennis. Wallball competitions are also run to enhance hurling and camogie skills.

On our school’s sports day a myriad of sporting activities take place including athletics, 100/200/400/800/1500 metres, rowing, basketball, soccer, long puck and camogie. The top three boys and top three girls each year receive a sports award.
