The Junior Certificate School Programme (JCSP) is a national programme sponsored by the Department of Education and Skills and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment.

Aims of JCSP

The Junior Certificate School Programme aims to provide a curriculum framework that assists schools and teachers in making the Junior Certificate more accessible. It attempts to help young people experience success and develop a positive self-image by providing a curriculum and assessment framework suitable to their needs. On completion of the programme students receive a profile which is an official record of their achievements  from the Department of Education and Skills.


Over the past years, JCSP has funded the following initiatives in Duiske College:


Study Skills, Reading Medley, Gaeltacht Visit, purchase of 14 tablets for Maths and English Departments, History Trip, Purchase of two Sewing Machines, Christmas Celebration, Summer Celebration


Visualisers for TG classes, Gaeltacht Visit, Self Defence, Geography Trip, Guidance Workshop, Science Workshop, Christmas Celebration,  Summer Celebration


Debating Workshop, Gaeltacht Visit, Film-making Workshop, Music (Drums) workshop, PE Workshop, Study Skills, Art Trip, Christmas Celebration,  Summer Celebration
